In 2018, once again, I went on the route to Neunkirchen in Saarland again. The small town next to Saarbrücken became an attraction for postrock music fans last October, when the first festival took place out of nowhere, offering postrock bands from Germany, Ireland and Switzerland. This year’s lineup has been eben more international. Starting with the local German formation Flares, Soup from Norway, Dool from the Netherlands, Spanish-based Toundra, And So I Watch You From Afar from Northern Ireland, Riverside from Poland and Harakiri From The Sky from Austria joined the festival that was located in a renewed industrial factory location. For me, who became a fan of the instrumental sound of Toundra, it was really worth it, travelling round about 400 km.
